Mohammad Ali Taheri, and a history of his efforts
Getting to know the founder,
Mohammad Ali Taheri is a spiritual teacher, theorist, innovationist and the founder of Erfan Halgheh® spiritual group. He is also the founder of Cosmointel Research Center for Consciousness Fields Studies. You can learn more about his life, challenges and achievements in 7 chapters:
Part 1: Early Life and Innovations Prior to the Establishment of the Cosmic Consciousness Network
- Mohammad Ali Taheri was born on March 21, 1956, in Kermanshah, Iran.
In 1976, he participated in the inaugural National Exhibition of Youth Innovators and Inventors, where he presented a remote-controlled airplane that required fuel only for takeoff and landing. He also showcased several aircraft designs, including what he described as the world’s first vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft. His innovative contributions earned him first place in the field of technology and inventions.
- In 1978, Taheri again participated in the same exhibition, presenting a single-seat aircraft, additional aviation designs, and his Dictionary of Aviation Technical Terms. For the second consecutive time, he was awarded first prize in the technology category.
Part 2: The Emergence of Foundations of the Cosmic Consciousness Network (October 1978)
- During this period, Taheri sought to deepen his understanding of the universe and the mysteries of existence. In addition to his work in aircraft design and mathematical research, he pursued independent studies in astronomy and cosmology, constructing handmade telescopes to aid his observations.
- Over time, his fascination with the origins and structure of the universe grew profoundly. This intellectual curiosity culminated in a transformative experience in October 1978, marking a pivotal moment in his life. He described this experience as an inner evolution, through which a “window into another world”—a realm he referred to as the world of enthusiasm and love—was opened to him.
- Through this experience, Taheri came to believe that science alone could not fully unveil the mysteries of the universe. He concluded that an alternative path—one guided by love, virtue, passion, and intuitive enlightenment—could also lead to the attainment of universal knowledge and understanding.
- Taheri believed that entering the realm of spirituality and seeking answers to life’s profound questions did not diminish his enthusiasm for understanding the universe; instead, it transformed and deepened it. From that point forward, he continued his investigations tirelessly, merging scientific exploration with spiritual insight.
- Although his spiritual perceptions and ideas were often challenging for others to comprehend, the practical outcomes and applications of his research impressed those around him.
- Following visits to several European countries and Japan, Taheri eventually settled for a time in Ankara, Turkey, where he pursued studies at the Middle East Technical University (METU). Despite his background and expertise in aircraft design and mechanical systems, he chose to study environmental engineering instead of continuing in the aerospace field. This decision reflected his evolving intellectual curiosity: previously, he had sought to understand the macrocosm through telescope construction and astronomical observation. At the same time, now he aimed to explore the microcosm—the intricate structures of existence—to find answers to his numerous questions.
- Upon returning to his country, Taheri established a private engineering and design firm, where he served as a creative and innovative CEO. Under his leadership, the company designed and manufactured a range of industrial machinery, including systems for mushroom cultivation, wheat flour processing, and poultry feed production.
- Significantly, Taheri pioneered the design and production of machines that could automatically transport, weigh, and package wheat flour and poultry feed—an achievement that marked the first of its kind in his country. These machines were not only efficient but also far more cost-effective to produce, sell, and install compared to imported alternatives.
- Alongside his professional endeavors, Taheri continued to explore spiritual philosophy after his daily work hours. This ongoing research ultimately led to the establishment of a spiritual framework known as Interuniversal Mysticism (Persian: Erfan-e Keyhani), also referred to as Halqeh Mysticism. Within this framework, he introduced two complementary healing methods—Faradarmani and Psymentology—which sought to bridge the gap between metaphysical insight and holistic well-being.
Part 3: Public Introduction of Cosmic Consciousness Network and Institutionalization of Interuniversal Mysticism
- In the early 2000s, Taheri began presenting the results of his spiritual research to the public. In the summer of 2006, he established the Interuniversal Mysticism Institute of Art and Culture (Halqeh) to teach the principles of Interuniversal Mysticism and its two complementary healing disciplines, Faradarmani and Psymentology.
- His teachings quickly attracted significant interest, particularly among university students, physicians, and psychologists, whose enthusiasm exceeded expectations. Small classes soon expanded into large gatherings, each hosting more than 500 participants, and the initiative drew the attention of various governmental and academic organizations.
- Over time, the institute evolved and was officially registered as the Center of Interuniversal Mysticism under the National Youth Organization affiliated with the Presidential Institution. At Taheri’s request, all educational sessions were recorded in audiovisual formats, and the content of his lectures was published as books with official publication licenses.
- The courses were later incorporated into several major universities, where specialized programs such as Fara-Pezeshki (“Meta-Medicine”) attracted hundreds of participants, including medical doctors, psychiatrists, and psychologists. More than 3,500 individuals successfully completed these short-term academic programs and received certificates of completion.
- In 2009, Taheri’s Psymentology courses were offered at a medical school, each session attended by over 1,100 students. Psymentology, meaning “the study of the human psyche,” explores the nature of the mind and associated disorders, proposing a method of healing based on inner transformation rather than medication or conventional psychotherapy.
- In parallel with these training programs, research on complementary medicine and Taheri’s theoretical concepts was conducted both domestically and internationally. These studies, conducted in reputable academic and medical institutions, yielded valuable findings that contributed to a growing body of literature on alternative and integrative healing practices.
