Investigation of the Brain Electromagnetic Behavior during Fara-darmani (fara-therapy) Connection in a Faratherapist Population

Fara-darmani, as claimed by Mohammad Ali Taheri (the founder), as a consciousness field, is a method of connecting with the Cosmic Intelligence Network (CIN). As a result of this connection, the scanning process of the state of a being, e.g., the health status of the cells and consequently organs in humans is done. Based on the Fara-darmani?s principles, human could potentially have a relatively higher status than any other beings in the ecosystem because their brain plays an important role as a consciousness detector in the above-mentioned connection. This pilot study was conducted to evaluate the effects of the Fara-darmani connection on electroencephalogram (EEG) features as an important biomarker of the brain functioning. Ten subjects (six men and four women, who are trained and able to use Fara-darmani connection), in the 20-40 age range with mental health history, participated in our study. EEG signals were recorded by a 19-channel device in the rest and task conditions. In the rest condition, subjects keep their eyes closed while resting, whereas in the task condition, they were asked to start the Fara-darmani connection. The results showed that there was a significant increase in the Gamma2 frequency band (35-40 Hz) power in frontal areas of the brain during the task condition compared to the rest condition. The power increase in four channels was significant: F4, F8, Fz and Cz, whereas the most significant power increase was located in the Fz and the most increase was in the F8. The LORETA method was used to reconstruct the underlying electrical activity in the brain based on scalp potentials. The results indicated some significant relative changes of the Gamma2 frequency band power in the following areas. The high-precision activated source was located in the middle frontal, which corresponds to the Broadmann Area 6 (BA6). The second highly-activated source turned out to be in the paracentral lobule, which corresponds to the Broadmann Area 31 (BA31). BA6 region mainly is associated with motor sequencing and planning movements. Moreover, its participation in memory, attention, and executive functions has been mentioned in some studies. Many studies have shown that the activity in this area is associated with motor activity and is highly correlated with neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, Schizophrenia and Major Depressive disorder and Huntington’s disease. BA31 role in emotion and different types of memory is obvious. Moreover, numerous studies have shown the correlation between the activity in the BA31 area and acute psychotic episodes and Alzheimer’s disease. Gamma wave, which is considered to be the fastest brain activity, is responsible for cognitive functioning, learning, memory, and information processing. In an optimal mental state, as observed in the present study, gamma waves help with attention, focus, binding of senses, consciousness, mental processing, and perception. Considering the holistic association between the central nervous system and other body systems and according to the results of this preliminary study, it seems that the Fara-darmani connection could have a significant impact on the general health of the people using it.
