Abstract:
There is no scientific evidence for many of complementary therapies so in this research to investigate alleviative effects of a therapeutic consciousness field named Fara-darmani by its founder, Mohammad Ali Taheri, changes induced by salt stress were examined in the leaves of Triticumaestivum L. var. star (sensitive cultivar) under the influence of the mentioned consciousness field. It is claimed that as a result of this consciousness field, connection between the constitutive consciousness of the system under study and its main constitutive (cosmic consciousness) status is established and the required modification and repair occurs during its scanning process. Results of the present study revealed that under influence of the Faradarmani consciousness field, the contents of Chl a, b and total chlorophyll, hydrogen peroxide and the activity of antioxidant enzyme such as superoxide dismutase (SOD) and polyphenol oxidase (PPO) increased 220% and 168%, respectively under salinity while malondialdehyde (MDA) content and activity of peroxidase (POX) were decreased 12.5% and about 34%, respectively. The results suggest that under salinity stress primarily prominent of SOD and POX activity play an active role in scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS) in this cultivar. It seems Faradarmani connection have increased this sensitive cultivar resistance to salinity with increased the content of H2O2 transduced signal, which might be responsible for the activation of some transcription factor associated with SOD and PPO, so consequently declined lipid peroxidation under salt stress. In conclusion, according to the present study, the Faradarmani connection, as a consciousness field, alleviates the salt-induced decrease in chlorophyll content and can ameliorate the negative effect of salinity stress.
